The Usual Easter Program

SOME CRAVE FOR THE LAYING ON OF HANDS BY SOME BISHOP OR PROPHET MORE THAN THEY crave for the KNOWLEDGE OF GOD`S WORD and LIVING RIGHT.
As we celebrate this EASTER many will gather at conventions at very remote parts of town hoping that some MIGHTY man of God will lay hands or pour special oil on them ,fall under the anointing , make funny sounds and strange bodily movement that will change their lives forever.


On Easter Monday most of these SAME people will gather at beaches and recreational centers and INDULGE in all kinds of DRUNKINESS AND DEBAUCHERY. THIS CONTINUES year in year out and THEY GATHER AT THESE PLACES WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS every year!

DONT GET ME WRONG, I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST THE LAYING ON OF HANDS, ANOINTING WITH OIL OR ANY OF THESE EASTER /CHURCH GATHERINGS, I WILL BE ATTENDING ONE MYSELF.

HOWEVER MY ISSUE IS SIMPLE :
THERE IS NO ANOINTING OR CHURCH ACTIVITY THAT CAN REPLACE YOUR NOWING AND PRACTICING GOD`S WORD.
WHATERVER YOU LEARN FROM GOD`S WORD DURING THIS EASTER PLEASE JUST PRACTICE IT !

MY BUNJEE JUMPING AND YOYO PAST....

Recently a friend of mine called and in the conversation He told me he was travelling to the Aburi Mountains to do some work the following day.

The Aburi Mountains is one of the coolest and nicest places in Ghana.

For a very long time I have been desiring to visit the Mountains and Enjoy the Cool Breeze and views of the mountains.

It was a Wednesday evening and He was living at 5 am the next day.

Without thinking I found myself asking if I could join Him for the journey the next day.

I was fascinated by the opportunity to see these wonderful mountains and in the midst of the excitement and without thinking and taking stock of the things I could do or had to do the next day I had just committed myself to a whole day of NOTHING BUT JUST SIGHT SEEING AND MOUNTAIN WATCHING.....smh

As I sat down and thought of it a second time it reminded me of a past life I was trying to move away from.

IT was  living  life like a Bunjee jumper or a Yoyo just hopping from one position to the other without any purpose or mission BUT only fulfilling my emotional desire of moving from one place to the other.

I would hop from one activity to the other helping others achieve their goals AND GAINING NOTHING EXCEPT THE FUN OF PARTICIPATION!

Unfortunately many are still in this life style which by the way is very symptomatic of a VISION-LESS and PURPOSELESS LIFE which has no DIRECTION except EMOTIONAL SATISFACTION.

God`s plan for our life is tired to a VISION AND A DIRECTION which must be pursued within a certain TIME FRAME. The bible says the one who receives the vision MUST RUN WITH IT .....write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it... Habakuk. 2:2

Sprinters/runners don't have time , getting to the FINISH line is everything and every precious second counts.

To some the bunjee jumping and yoyo way of life is the normal way of living . Living otherwise is like pulling their nostrils.

But I have come to realise that GREATNESS , SUCCESS and ACHIEVEMENT can only come to us WHEN WE LIVE LIKE SPRINTERS , SPEEDING JUST TO HIT THE LIFE LINE !
